Privacy Policy
Last updated 31 July 2026
OfficePulse is a personal attendance tracker. This policy explains exactly what it stores about you, where that data lives, and how to get it back or delete it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — it is short because the app collects very little.
What we collect
Only what the app needs to work:
- Your email address — used to sign you in and to send account emails such as confirming your address.
- Your name — collected at sign-up, used to greet you and to show your initials in the app.
- Your state or territory — used to apply the correct public holidays to your attendance figures.
- Your settings — your office attendance target and tracking start date.
- Your attendance records — the date and status (office, working from home, annual leave, sick leave) for each day you log, and any note you add to it.
What we don't collect
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We don't collect your location, your contacts, or anything from your device beyond what you type into the app. We don't build a profile of you and we don't sell or share your data with anyone.
Cookies and local storage
OfficePulsesets cookies for one purpose only: keeping you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies. Your appearance settings (light/dark mode and colour theme) are stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers — which is why they don't follow you between devices.
Where your data is stored
Your account and attendance data are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase in Sydney, Australia. The app itself is hosted by Vercel. Both act as service providers processing data on our behalf, and neither uses it for their own purposes.
Access is enforced at the database level: every record is bound to the account that created it, so one account cannot read another's data even if the app itself had a bug.
Getting your data out
You can export your full attendance history as a CSV file at any time from Settings → Export your data. No request needed and no waiting.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent: your account, every attendance record you've logged, and all of your settings are erased. There is no recovery period and no backup we can restore from, so export your data first if you want to keep it.
How long we keep it
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed from the live database immediately.
Children
OfficePulseis a workplace tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be announced in the app.
